About the Leader

Mark Lincoln, Party Leader

I was born in May 1968 in Essex and now live with my wife Anita in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

My aim is to bring passion back to British politics, to engage those with no voice and to create debate where none currently exists.

My roots are in traditional conservatism; I was a member of the Thatcher Conservative Party and took an active role in helping her secure one of three election victories.

I and all those I communicate with on a daily basis feel disenfranchised by all three of the major parties because the leaders and members of parliament truly have lost touch with ordinary people. Dave Cameron in particular seems to have led a life which bears no resemblance to mine or any one person I have met. How can these Party Leaders understand the frustrations of those having to live on a daily basis with abusive neighbours, unruly children, violence in their town centres at night and no go zones?

Dave Cameron wishes to turn his back on the past, I do not. I believe that many traditional values that have been eroded by a politically correct culture that has infested our county in the last 15 years are worthy of creating respect and the sort of family friendly society “Dave” speaks of.

I want to live in a county that respects its older generation that shows children the right way to behave and leads by example. A country where those genuinely in need of benefits, health care, specialists education and help receive it and those whose only aim is to abuse the system do not.

I believe we need to put our own house in order before looking to influence or help others; we need to build a strong country, both economically and culturally. We need to encourage those who have special talents and give them the opportunities they deserve to succeed. But we must not make the mistakes of the past and lead people down a false path, not everyone can succeed and not everyone wishes to. We now look down on those that just want to be ordinary.

We have created a culture that believes regardless of talent or hard work everyone can have whatever they want.  Now all demand to have everything and will use any means to get it and the result is the daily murders, muggings, sexual assaults, burglary’s, stabbings and shootings in every town and city throughout the UK.

We now live in a society afraid to go out, afraid to say what it thinks, afraid of saying the wrong thing, afraid of our children and afraid of the future, for it is a very bleak place if we continue as we are.

Britain’s was once proud to be one of the best places on earth to live, with well educated polite citizens who led the world in new technology, invention, business, military might and compassion.

I want to make Britain once more one of the best places on earth to live.
